Tom had an uncharacteristic start to the tournament finishing +8 on day one at Galgorm and we were worried we had jinxed him by providing the i7 as transport for him as he sat in the bottom 10 out of 140 players, but on day two he absolutely aced it around Castlerock and managed the best score of the day, which was enough to earn him a place in the cut. A return to Galgorm on Saturday morning saw Tom finish -2, and then finished level for the tournament on Sunday in T20, ending the round in style with a spectacular eagle putt on the 18th.
